Classical Trio – Wedding Ceremony – The Inn at Palmetto Bluff
We had a wonderful time performing for the wedding ceremony held in the waterside Chapel next to the Inn at Palmetto Bluff. It was a beautiful drive in with the beautiful Spanish moss framing the streets. The small downtown area was very charming and quaint with wonderful views of the marsh going as far as the eye can see.
The chapel seem to fit in with a classic downtown reminiscent of the 1950’s with your coffee shop/restaurant, small inn and local chapel. The chapel featured wonderfully large Gothic-styled windows allowing the natural light to shine in and also providing views of the marsh.
We performed a variety of classical favorites from Mozart, Vivaldi, and Bach for the guests to walk in to. For the ceremony, the Processional walked down to the timeless “Flower Duet” from the opera Lakme. The bride walked down to the stately “Bridal Chorus” and exited together to the “Wedding March”.
Classical Trio – Wedding Ceremony – Middleton Place
We enjoyed performing with our Classical Trio at Middleton Place. We performed right under the Middleton Oak and the views were absolutely stunning. Even though the skies were overcast the temperatures remained comfortable and pleasant to be outside. The ceremony colors were very rich and fitting for the oncoming fall season featuring colors of burgundy, orange, and dark greens.
We performed an charming, lively set of songs. The Rondeau by Mouret is a good option for the Bridal Party because it is upbeat and has a nice direction/tempo.

Classical String Trio – Lowndes Grove

Ceremony Setup at Lowndes Grove
It was another beautiful day for the Lowndes Grove wedding. Located on peninsular Charleston, this spot is perfect if you want to have that plantation feel with the sprawling grounds but in a location five minutes to downtown and the action. The ceremony set a very romantic and relaxed scene with the charming lanterns floating in the trees and into the reception area. More information on weddings at Lowndes Grove can be found at www.lowndesgrove.com.
As the guests were exiting off the shuttles and entering to the ceremony area, the string trio began a lively mix of traditional and classical selections to continue that theme into the ceremony.

Classical String Trio – The Westin, Savannah
October 10, 2009 – We really enjoyed playing for Denny and Lauren’s wedding in Savannah! We performed first at the Messiah Lutheran Church and did the cocktail hour at the Westin. They were a wonderful couple to work with and the wedding turned out just beautiful. They started with a traditional ceremony in the church where the organist and the string trio played a selection of traditional classical music.

For you future brides out there, here is a nice program of music for a more traditional ceremony setting:
Prelude:
Selections such as Air on the G String by Bach, The Water Music Suite by Handel, Schubert Andante from one of his string quartets
Mothers:
Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring – Bach
Bridal Party:
Canon in D – Pachelbel
Bride:
Trumpet Voluntary – Clarke
Recessional:
Trumpet Tune – Purcell
The cocktail hour took place at the hip yet modern Westin right on the river front. There we played a series of contemporary music ranging from Journey, U2, Etta James, Coldplay, as well as some Broadway favorites.
Overall, the wedding had a wonderful mix of classical and contemporary styles in music as well as venues and decor.
