Wedding Musicians – Classical – Charleston SC

Violin/Guitar Duo – Wedding Ceremony – Boone Hall

Boone Hall - Main House

We performed for a beautiful ceremony at the ever picturesque Boone Hall. The ceremony itself was very personal and thoughtful with the bride and groom reciting their own written vows to one another as well as the officiant sharing one on one experiences meeting the bride and groom. I loved how the music we performed truly reflected that quality during the ceremony. We then finished up the ceremony with a wonderful celebratory song on love by the Beatles!

Classical Duo – Wedding Ceremony – Grand Pavilion at Wild Dunes

We performed for a beautiful beach front ceremony at the conveniently sheltered Grand Pavilion. We always enjoy the setting which features expansive views of the ocean. The wedding featured very natural and bold colors such as greens and beiges which were featured in the programs and in the flower arrangements.

The ceremony had a good balance of traditional and contemporary selections. In My Life is one of those songs that is more modern but has that classical sounding style to it. As a song it is very versatile and works well for the seating of the mothers. We have also performed it for the bridal party and the bride. “Viva La Vida” works best for the recessional since it has a faster tempo – almost a march like style.

Violin/Guitar Duo – Wedding Ceremony – William Aiken House

Wedding Ceremony Setup

The sophisticated William Aiken House is always a happening venue to play at. It offers the bustling downtown vibe right at your footstep yet it feels private with the dramatic magnolia trees and foliage providing ample shade to the courtyard. The wedding colors were a fun and modern combination of soft pinks, whites, and grays in the flowers and bridesmaids dresses. The music program we performed took on the same contemporary style for the ceremony.

Classical Duo – Wedding Ceremony – Daniel Island Club

Wedding Ceremony

The weather couldn’t have been more beautiful for the late-morning ceremony that took place at the Daniel Island Club. The cloudless sky and gentle breeze helped the guests enjoy the surroundings during the prelude time. The wedding colors of sage green and pink created a romantic and fun atmosphere also in timing with the upcoming spring season. We performed part of the prelude with a guest flutist which created a nice change of instrumentation with the flute taking the solo parts.

Classical Trio – Wedding Ceremony – The Inn at Palmetto Bluff

The Chapel at Palmetto Bluff

We had a wonderful time performing for the wedding ceremony held in the waterside Chapel next to the Inn at Palmetto Bluff. It was a beautiful drive in with the beautiful Spanish moss framing the streets. The small downtown area was very charming and quaint with wonderful views of the marsh going as far as the eye can see.

The chapel seem to fit in with a classic downtown reminiscent of the 1950’s with your coffee shop/restaurant, small inn and local chapel. The chapel featured wonderfully large Gothic-styled windows allowing the natural light to shine in and also providing views of the marsh.

We performed a variety of classical favorites from Mozart, Vivaldi, and Bach for the guests to walk in to. For the ceremony, the Processional walked down to the timeless “Flower Duet” from the opera Lakme. The bride walked down to the stately “Bridal Chorus” and exited together to the “Wedding March”.

Classical Duo – Wedding Ceremony – The Palmer House

Our Classical String Duo performed on a perfect Saturday afternoon at the Palmer House Bed and Breakfast nestled right on the battery. The ceremony took place on the small lawn which offered privacy and a bit of quiet away from East Bay. The Palmer House is a perfect spot if you are having a smaller more intimate wedding. You can also have the ceremony and reception on the 2nd floor porch as well as inside the parlors which offers unparalleled views of the Charleston harbor.

We performed a traditional classical setlist of songs to fit the traditional ceremony.

Classical Duo – Wedding Ceremony – Founders Hall

Courtyard Ceremony

Ceremony Set-up

Performing at Founders Hall was a very neat experience. The ultra-modern facility is situated in Charlestowne Landing, 15 minutes from downtown Charleston. The natural materials of the building fit very well with the surroundings of the park. The ceremony took place in the courtyard which was very quaint with soothing sounds of minimalistic water fountains.

The Classical Duo performed mainly a setlist of contemporary selections which matched the style and environment of the wedding.

Bob Williams at Wild Dunes, Isle of Palms

Bob and Mike Williams performed on the violin and guitar for a wedding ceremony at Wild Dunes. The venue was the Boardwalk Inn, outside, overlooking the beach.

The ceremony and cocktail hour were held by the pool area. Just make sure you bring your sunglasses! It is perfect weather and temperature in October in Charleston for a wedding – gorgeous day.
Ceremony songs chosen by the bride/groom were traditional classical.

Classical Trio – Wedding Ceremony – Middleton Place

Ceremony Decor

We enjoyed performing with our Classical Trio at Middleton Place. We performed right under the Middleton Oak and the views were absolutely stunning. Even though the skies were overcast the temperatures remained comfortable and pleasant to be outside. The ceremony colors were very rich and fitting for the oncoming fall season featuring colors of burgundy, orange, and dark greens.

We performed an charming, lively set of songs. The Rondeau by Mouret is a good option for the Bridal Party because it is upbeat and has a nice direction/tempo.
