Violin and Guitar Duo – Ceremony at Seabrook Island Club

The recently re-built Seabrook Island Club is an excellent option for those wanting to have a beach side wedding with an exclusive, private-club feel. The couple chose the rear deck which is an excellent spot because you get a real feeling of openness. The deck location is spacious enough for any size ceremony without feeling cramped. One of the best points about this location is the full 180 degree views of the ocean as well as an unobstructed view of the sun setting.

The spacious clubhouse features wrap-around porches facing the ocean and dunes and amenities such as luxurious, well-equipped locker rooms for the bride and her party to get ready in.

Mike and Bob Williams performed on the classical violin and guitar for the ceremony. Traditional with some Chili Peppers were mixed to give some variety:

Family
Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring

Wedding Party
Canon in D

Bride
Red Hot Chili Peppers – Hard to Concentrate

Recessional
Trumpet Voluntary

Williams Duo – Ceremony at Seabrook Island

The Father/son duo, the Williams Duo performed for a wedding ceremony and reception at the Seabrook Island Club, upstairs inside, overlooking the beach. The new clubhouse has really helped Seabrook show its potential in services for weddings and receptions.

For the ceremony, we enjoyed performing ‘Be Thou My Vision’ for the walkdown for a nice change from Canon in D. The acoustics in the room overlooking the beach were nice and everyone could hear well. The glass doors from behind us helped us see the wedding party and bride as they made their approach to walk down the aisle.

The the cocktail and dinner reception, we performed many jazz and popular favorites, with many of the guests turning around smiling, or giving a thumbs up when they heard Michael Jackson’s Billie Jean on the violin and guitar – something they’ve never heard before and will probably remember. Seabrook’s standards have come to rival Kiawah’s, making it a nice alternate to the expensive and elaborate 5-star Sanctuary Hotel at Kiawah.

The entire wedding party and family gathered in the front of the clubhouse with the long curved stairs for pictures. This venue is definitely high on our list for recommended venues for weddings.

The songs selections for this wedding ceremony are a mix of traditional and contemporary and are as follows:

Mothers/Family
And I Love Her – Beatles

Wedding Party
Simple Gifts

Bridal Processional
Be Thou My Vision

Recessional
Yankee Fox Trot, Jesus Etc – Wilco
